SPYRUS Announces End-of-Life (EOL) Support for FORTEZZA Suite of Services
End of Life for SPYRUS® FORTEZZA Crypto Cards

SAN JOSE, Calif., April 2, 2007 – This is an important announcement from SPYRUS®, Inc. (www.spyrus.com) regarding FORTEZZA product support. Because of changing standards and product development priorities, SPYRUS has decided to discontinue support for the U.S. Government FORTEZZA suite of services across the entire SPYRUS product line. Future releases of SPYRUS Rosetta CSI Middleware will no longer include support for FORTEZZA implementations. In parallel, SPYRUS will discontinue production of its product line of FORTEZZA Crypto Cards, including:
- FORTEZZA PCMCIA Series II Crypto Card (Model No. PC630)
- Jumbo FORTEZZA PCMCIA Series II Crypto Card (Model No. PC630J)
- JumboMX FORTEZZA PCMCIA Series II Crypto Card (Model No. PC630S)
- FORTEZZA USB Series II Crypto Card (Model No. PC830)
- Jumbo FORTEZZA USB Series II Crypto Card (Model No. PC830J)
- JumboMX FORTEZZA USB Series II Crypto Card (Model No. PC830S)
- Jumbo FORTEZZA PCMCIA Card (Model No. PC300J)

These changes are effective immediately.
This announcement provides official notification of the end of SPYRUS support (End of Life or EOL) for the U.S. Government FORTEZZA suite of services.
Current Inventory of FORTEZZA Crypto Cards:
SPYRUS will continue to accept orders for FORTEZZA Crypto Cards on a first-come, first-served basis until its current inventory is sold. Special pricing applies — call for pricing. All sales are final (no returns allowed).
SPYRUS will consider manufacturing new units to fill any orders by one or more customers that are placed with SPYRUS no later than June 30, 2007 and cumulatively total 5,000 or more units. Special orders, if approved, will be subject to a manufacturing lead-time of up to 20 weeks. Approved special orders are final and cannot be later cancelled by the customer.
As a result of today’s announcement, new production of the LYNKS Series II HSM will no longer support the FORTEZZA suite of services. Current inventory of LYNKS Series II HSMs that includes support for the FORTEZZA suite of services is available on a first-come, first-served basis. All sales are final (no returns allowed).
