SPYRUS Suite B-enabled Hardware Security Products Achieve Entrust Ready™ Status

SPYRUS Rosetta Authentication Tokens, LYNKS Hardware Security Modules and Hydra PC Series II Encryption Devices Ready to Secure Digital Identities and Information Managed by Entrust Security Infrastructure

San Jose, California – December 4, 2007 – SPYRUS, Inc., an innovator in portable high-security hardware and software cryptography products, today announced that SPYRUS Rosetta Series II Smart Cards and USB tokens, LYNKS Hardware Security Modules and the groundbreaking Hydra PC Series II encryption devices have achieved Entrust Ready™ status. The Entrust Ready designation is awarded by Entrust, Inc. (NASDAQ:ENTU), a world leader in securing digital identities and information, and validates products and services that have been tested for compatibility and interoperability with Entrust Authority™ Security Manager 7.1 and Entrust Entelligence® Security Provider for Windows 8.0.

The SPYRUS security devices employ on-board Suite B cryptography to securely store Entrust digital identities. Suite B is a set of advanced, unclassified cryptographic algorithms approved by the National Security Agency (NSA) to protect U. S. Government classified and unclassified data. Suite B algorithms include Elliptic Curve Cryptography (ECC) with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) prime elliptic curves, Advanced Encryption Standard, and the SHA-2 series of hash functions, as defined by the NSA. The SPYRUS security devices also fully support applications using traditional algorithms such as RSA, SHA-1 and 3DES.

"We are pleased to designate Entrust Ready status for SPYRUS security devices," said Entrust Chief Technology Officer Eric Skinner. "This new relationship affords Entrust customers the ability to leverage the high-assurance cryptographic technology for which SPYRUS is best known."

The SPYRUS hardware security devices add additional two-factor user authentication capabilities to Entrust PKI tasks such as obtaining an Entrust digital ID, file encryption, and secure messaging, and they provide hardware-based, tamper-resistant protection for keys, to help prevent interception by intrusion attacks on the computer hard disk. The Hydra PC is the only hardware-based encryption device that enables users to share encrypted files with other users within the enterprise. It is also the only hardware-based USB encryption device approved by the U.S. Government Data at Rest program for protecting sensitive information. U.S. Government customers can now use the Hydra PC to securely encrypt files or folders using Suite B cryptography and share the encrypted data in a community of interest using Entrust digital IDs.

"Attaining Entrust Ready status for our security devices is very important to SPYRUS," said Tom Dickens, SPYRUS Chief Operating Officer. "We feel that our products offer the most advanced and cost-effective security on the market today. Integrating the capabilities of Entrust and SPYRUS products can make a huge impact on protecting personally identifiable information as well as protecting and sharing confidential information securely."
