SPYRUS Policies and Procedures - Deployment Specification
The Deployment Specification describes the technical procedures and the PKI technical architecture in place. It is a manual for the System Administrator and Certification Authority Administrator. The Deployment Specification should be continually updated as there are changes to the PKI system or the business itself. The Deployment Specification is internal.
The Deployment Specification for the SPYRUS PKI is an integral element of the system, as it explains in detail to implementers and administrators how to carry out their functions. Our Deployment Specification is easy to follow with its screen-shots of all sequences for implementation of the PKI and accompanying explanatory text. Client system administrators can revise the Deployment Specification once the PKI is deployed as business requirements or system elements change.

SPYRUS continues to refine and improve the generic Deployment Specification, to enable continuing facility for implementers. As well, SPYRUS technical consultants assist with training of System Administrators and CA Operators, and provide ongoing on-call service.
SPYRUS also provides a Deployment Guide for planners and managers. The Deployment Guide outlines in short form the necessary steps for deploying the SPYRUS PKI, from analysis of business requirements through to start-up of the PKI and certificate issuing. The Deployment Guide describes each of ten steps in terms of resource and time requirements, the tasks to be performed, the prerequisites for each step, and relationship between steps.
