Remote Access
Today's mobile workforce must be able to work at home, while traveling, and at the office. This means that the enterprise network must provide secure remote access. Even workstations that are not part of the enterprise intranet require full-privilege access to information resources. The business benefit of secure remote access is the enormous productivity gain from immediate information access.
Ease of access is also important, and many remote access solutions are marred by multiple stages of user authentication required to gain access. Separate passwords are needed to log on to a laptop, log on to VPN, and then log on to the destination enterprise server. That's a lot of passwords, and a lot of time spent.
SPYRUS products assist strong remote access through their integration with the Microsoft Windows services for local and remote access. A Rosetta Smart Card or USB drives Windows Smart Card Logon and provides the certificate credentials for VPN and remote host logon automatically. The Rosetta device and a PIN provide strong two-factor authentication to the card or token enable access to the stored passwords and certificates for logon, email, and other applications. Rosetta devices also support biometric authentication for three-factor authentication.
