CMMC CERTIFICATION

Are you a Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Company, or would like to be? Confused about the CMMC Certification requirement?

With CMMC Certification required by December 1, 2020, many companies are scrambling to understand the mandate requirements and get certified by the deadline. Simply put, ANY company in the defense contract supply chain will need CMMC certification. The majority of these contracts will require a certification between Level 1 and Level 3 to qualify for government contracts.

SPYRUS has been helping companies meet the technical requirements of similar security mandates like DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST 800-171 for many years. We’ve put together a lot of information to help you make sense of and meet CMMC certification Level 3.

What is CMMC?

CMMC is a US Government initiative requiring every organization involved in DoD contracts to certify compliance or risk losing their ability to be awarded contracts.  To be CMMC compliant, an organization must be audited by a registered and approved third-party auditor.  This requirement is expected to go into effect in November 2020.
