FIPS 140-2 Level 3 Certified Products Meet Government Standards for Sensitive Information

SAN JOSE, Calif.— May 11, 2020 — SPYRUS Solutions, Inc. (“SPYRUS”) today announced it continues to gain traction with US government agencies, having recently won four major deals for its teleworking and data storage encryption solutions. With the immediate need for government employees and contractors to remain home to ensure personal safety, agencies require telework solutions that protect sensitive information. The SPYRUS Secure Work from Home Solution was recently named a 2020 TMCnet Teleworking Solutions Excellence Award winner.

The SPYRUS Secure Work from Home Solution includes a Device Management Platform, also referred to as SPYRUS Enterprise Management System (SEMS), that is easy to deploy and is scalable, enabling agencies to manage, audit, and “destroy” keys on SPYRUS hardened endpoints. SPYRUS tokens are self-encrypting, supporting hardware-based Data at Rest (DAR), with protection for the agency’s Windows or Linux “gold disk” that employees can securely boot on their home computer fully segregated from their host boot drive and operating system. The tokens are less expensive than agencies providing employees with comparable laptops and tablets, and if they are lost or stolen, the combination of hardware-based encryption of all data and the tamper resistance and FIPS 140-2 Level 3 MFA key protection, ensures that sensitive information and enterprise network access are protected with the highest levels of confidence. The complete solution supports offline use, with enterprise enforced limitations, that is crucial in the current environment with an overloaded Internet infrastructure and VPN gateways.

In support of recent deals with US government agencies, SPYRUS has shipped its tokens for more than 10,000 users and expects the total deployment size will exceed 50,000 users over the next two years.

“Securing sensitive information is critical to national security in an increasingly dangerous digital environment,” said chief executive officer and chairman Grant Evans. “Where the ‘new normal’ requires employees to increasingly work away from their office, it is critical that US government agencies have the solutions necessary to protect such information. Our agency customers are currently evaluating using this solution for remote access and protection of classified information, with favorable results. SPYRUS has been protecting employees and data of US government agencies and associated industrial base for the past two decades with cost effective solutions. With the roll out of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification SPYRUS is committed to protecting public and private critical infrastructure data and information for decades to come.”
